Blue Ribbon Results Academy’s (Child Care Center) instructional program utilizes knowledge of 12 Brain-based principles and 7 high-yield strategies to create a holistic learning experience for our students. Our Brain-based curriculum is learning in accordance with the way the brain is biologically designed to learn. Jensen (2008b) said, “Brain-based education is best understood in three words: engagement, strategies, and principles” (p. 410).  Hence, the 12 Principles of brain-based learning are the foundation, the core philosophy upon which Blue Ribbon Results Child Care was created. All instructional practices are derived from how God created our brains to think, to see the interconnected whole, to process information by analyzing and synthesizing, and then to use that new-found knowledge as a means of adapting to the forever changing world we live in.
As teachers, parents, and educational researchers have discovered, Brain-based learning not only helps young children excel in language and cognitive learning but also promotes independence, curiosity, decision-making, cooperation, persistence, creativity, and problem solving — the fundamental skills that help determine success in adult life. This is what we mean by The Brain-Based Difference.
