Supporting your child’s development doesn’t stop at school. For preschool parents, understanding how to encourage language development and executive functioning skills during everyday routines is a powerful way to reinforce what children are learning in the classroom.
To support families in this important work, Blue Ribbon Results Academy has released a new Parent Workshop focused on practical strategies for learning at home. This pre-recorded session was thoughtfully created by our Behavior Specialist and Speech Therapist and is designed to give parents tools they can use immediately.
What Preschool Parents Will Learn in This Parent Workshop
This parent workshop provides guidance on:
How language development grows through play, conversation, and daily routines
What executive functioning skills look like in preschool-aged children
Simple ways to support attention, self-regulation, and flexibility at home
How educational toys and intentional play can strengthen learning outcomes
How families and schools can work together to support consistent learning at home
The strategies shared are developmentally appropriate, research-informed, and aligned with the brain-based learning approach used at Blue Ribbon Results Academy.
Why Learning at Home Matters in the Preschool Years
The preschool years are a critical time for building foundational skills. Language development supports communication and early literacy, while executive functioning helps children manage emotions, follow directions, and transition between activities.
